American produced steel offers many benefits, compared to inferior foreign imports. Most importantly, the quality control standards for U.S. produced steel are much higher than ambiguous standards found in foreign markets. This ensures a much more consistent finished roofing product, in both quality and color. In addition, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute, U.S. manufactured steel maintains higher standards for environmentally-friendly production, including the use of recycled materials and refined sustainability initiatives.
